I designed this application for a fellow student in the Get Coding NL program who was building it with Javascript. He had a very simple layout built already, but wanted something more eye catching that matched the theme of the app, which helps the users decide which movie they would like to watch by creating and participating in a poll.

I designed this application for a fellow student in the Get Coding NL program who was building it with Javascript. He had a very simple layout built already, but wanted something more eye catching that matched the theme of the app, which helps the users decide which movie they would like to watch by creating and participating in a poll.
I began by exploring what a movie themed app should look and feel like, which led me to a darker theme to imitate dark movie theaters. The red incorporated into the buttons and result bars can be likened to the classic red movie theater seats and carpets. I designed the app to be as simple and clean as possible, to avoid unnecessary instructions or additional interfaces. Click on the images below to get a closer look!
